The virtual course Fire suppression system and portable fire extinguishers is designed to develop in mining equipment operators the competencies needed to identify fire protection equipment, verify its correct operation and respond appropriately to emergency situations. The content covers the basic principles of fire, the components, agents, operation and inspection of the Fire Suppression System (SSI), as well as the different types of portable fire extinguishers, their inspection, preparation and correct operation according to the fire class and the established procedures.

Higiene del sueño y prevención de fatiga

El curso virtual Higiene del sueño y prevención de la fatiga está orientado a fortalecer conocimientos y prácticas que permitan mejorar los hábitos de descanso y prevenir estados de somnolencia y fatiga durante la jornada laboral. A través de la Fórmula 70/30, el participante recorre diez pasos relacionados con higiene del sueño, alimentación, ejercicio, controles médicos, relaciones interpersonales, esparcimiento, estabilidad familiar, reporte al supervisor, acciones autónomas y reporte de estados de sueño. El curso también aborda la identificación de signos de fatiga, las acciones preventivas que pueden aplicarse antes y durante el turno y los protocolos establecidos para actuar de manera segura ante situaciones de somnolencia.

The virtual course Prevention of slips, trips and falls is designed to strengthen workers' ability to identify conditions, hazards and risk factors that can cause slips, trips and falls while carrying out their activities.

Throughout the course, applicable standards and regulations, hazard and risk identification, preventive measures to minimize or eliminate them, methods for measuring and evaluating preventive actions, and safe work practices that contribute to strengthening the safety culture are covered.

Postural hygiene and hand care

The virtual course Postural hygiene and hand care provides knowledge and practices aimed at preventing musculoskeletal injuries and occupational accidents during the operation of mining equipment. Throughout the course, lessons learned and operational controls are covered, along with the principles of postural hygiene, ergonomic postures for truck operation, warm-up and stretching exercises, as well as the mechanical and chemical hazards associated with the hands and the measures needed to prevent injuries.

The course promotes self-care, the adoption of safe behaviors and the correct application of established controls to contribute to a safe and healthy work environment.

Operational abuse prevention

Virtual course for mining equipment operators on the preoperational inspection of the 793 truck on the ground, platform and cab, with emphasis on critical systems and operational safety.
